What is Included: Esslingen offers courses in Natural Sciences, Management, Automotive Engineering, Building Services, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering, Social Work, Healthcare, and Nursing Sciences, and Engineering Management.

There are several housing options for students in Esslingen including recommended dormitories. Residence Halls are owned and run by Student Services with mixed and single rooms. The private housing market is very tight and expensive and not recommended.

There are many activities for students to get involved in on campus depending on area of interest.

Estimated Costs: The costs involved in studying abroad are comparable to living at Pacific. The main added cost is airfare. Students pay Pacific tuition before departing and then Esslingen's room and board fees while abroad. Monthly rent typically ranges from 260-350 euros.

Students should check with the Financial Aid office to verify whether the entirety of their financial aid package will be provided for their semester(s) abroad.
Program Description

Esslingen University is one of the leading universities in applied sciences in Germany. Students have access to over 50 highly modern laboratories on three campuses carrying out development projects commissioned by industry and an extensive institutional network. Enjoy an informal atmosphere in seminar style classes through an excellent teacher-student ratio and small groups of approximately 15-30 students. Orientation weeks, German language classes at different levels, and a History and Culture class with excursions to places of interest will help you to feel comfortable and get a good insight into German culture.

Eligibility Requirements:

* 2.75 GPA
* No language prerequisite
* Sophomore standing

This is a direct exchange program between Pacific and Esslingen University in Germany. You do not need to speak any German prior to studying at Esslingen University, which offers several courses taught in English.

Pacific's Bilateral Exchange programs are suitable for students with strong leadership skills who want an immersion experience studying with local students, relying on local services with no management or oversight by Pacific or other U.S. providers.
