Program Description

The purpose of this trip is to explore social justice work in Dublin, Ireland. While Dublin is not typically a city one thinks of with regard to social justice, the community of Dublin has actively responded to issues of social justice, including race/ethnicity, LGBTQ issues, and others. Over the past 15 years, immigration support, community organizations, non-profit, etc. have grown to address social need. University College Dublin is the first university in Ireland to offer a law degree that specializes in social justice. It is crucial to our understanding responses to social justice issues to explore how Dublin has responded in a relatively short period of time.
